The said bill was then sent to the Senate.                   

On motion of Mr. Bowie,

The rules were suspended to allow him to report a bill entitled
an act amendatory of an act entitled, an act to incorporate the
village of Bladensburg in Prince George's county passed at Jan-
nary session 1854, chapter 137;                       

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Harris submitted the following order;

Ordered, That a Committee of three be appointed to assort the
bills of a purely local Character on the table and to be taken up
as they are numbered, to fix by lot, which bills shall be first con-
sidered; and that any bill shall be postponed, if it shall give rise
to discussion and that said bills be considered this Saturday
evening, to the exclusion of other business;

Mr. Silver moved that the said order be laid on the table:
Which was rejected.                          

The question being on the adoption of the order it was deter-
mined in the affirmative.

The Speaker appointed the following gentlemen to constitute
said committee, Messrs. Harris, Lester, and Harrington.           

Mr. Frazier from the Committee on Claims reported favora-
bly on a bill entitled, an act to provide for the compensation of
Henry W. Archer for legal services rendered the State, by the
appointment of the Governor, in the prosecution of Robert Swift
for the murder of Jeremiah Kilhour, with an amendment.

Mr. Partridge chairman of the Committee on Judiciary report-

ed favorably on a bill entitled, an act to provide for the appoint-

ment of a keeper of the records of the Court of Chancery.

And reported unfavorably on a bill entitled, an act to prescribe.
the fees to be charged and received by the constables in the seve-
ral counties of this State and the city of Baltimore;
