On motion of Mr. Lester,
Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation to
introduce a bill to incorporate the Howard Fire Insurance.
Company of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Askew,

Leave was granted the Baltimore city delegation to in-
troduce a bill, entitled an act relating to the removal of
causes from the criminal court, of Baltimore city,
On motion of Mr. Daniel,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to intro-
duce a bill, entitled an act to reduce into one system the per
diem of county commissioners, trustees of the poor, and the

judges of the orphans court, in the several counties of this
State,                                         

On motion of Mr. Silver,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to in-
troduce a bill authorizing the Comptroller, in case of ne-
cessary absence from Annapolis, or illness, to appoint, in
writing, his chief clerk to discharge the duties of Comp-
troller "pro tem," and, making the bond of the Comptroller
responsible for the acts of said clerk.

On motion of Mr. Kennedy,
Leave was granted to Baltimore city delegation to introduce a
bill, to change the name of Henry Schley, of Baltimore city, to
Benjamin Henry Schley;               

On motion of Mr. Partridge,                                                 

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to intro-

duce a bill further to amend the law of attachment, so as to in-

clude the exemption of mechanics', wages to cases where the same.

shall be paid monthly.

On motion of Mr. Rolph,                                                       

Leave was granted to the Queen Anne's county delegation, to
introduce a bill to have certain moneys refunded to Samuel B.
Armstrong, of Queen Anne's county.

On motion of Mr. Merrick,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to intro-

duce a bill to authorise certain of the Judges of the Courts of this

State to confer authority to serve or to assist in the service of

the process of said Courts.                              

On motion of Mr. Tower,                   

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to bring
in a bill to make valid a deed from Benjamin Fitzhugh, and oth-
ers, to the Mineral Bank of Maryland and Normand Bruce.
