Sec. 3. That the provisions of the act shall be extended to
cases now pending: in the several courts of this. State.

Mr. Scott moved to strike out the enacting clause;
Which was determined in the negative.                 

Mr. Hauver moved the House now adjourn;

Which was determined in the negative.

The question recurring on the amendment offered by Mr.

Wilson, of Calvert,
It was determined in the affirmative.
Mr. Harris offered the following amendments:

Strike out all after the word "nevertheless" in the 6th line, to the
word "shall" in the 7th line, and insert ''that the person or per-
sons to whom the grand jury may refuse to allow license to be
granted;"                                                 

Which, was determined in the affirmative.
The said bill was then read the second time.

On motion of Mr. Griffith,         

The House adjourned.
