On motion of Mr. Stubbs,                         

The House bill No. 102, was made the special order of the day
for to-morrow.                 

On motion of Mr. Tower, it was

Ordered, That Tuesday and Thursday evenings of each week,
be devoted to the third reading of bills;

The bill entitled, an act to make valid a deed from N. P. Cook-
sey and Martha Cooksey to Samuel H. Downing;

Was read the second time.

The bill entitled, an act to authorize the, Commissioners of
Frederick county, to change the public road leading from Urbana

to Frederick;


Was read the second time.                                           

The bill entitled an act appropriating a sum of money for the
use of Joseph Stewart;

Was read the second time,         

The bill entitled, an act to carry into effect the 39th section of
the 4th article of the Constitution, for the exemption from execu-
tion of a reasonable amount of a debtor's property;

Was read the second time, and made the special order of the
day for Saturday next, at 11 o'clock, A. M.

The bill entitled, an act supplementary to an act entitled, an
act for the relief of insolvent debtors, passed January session
1854, chapter 193;

Was read the second time.

The House took up for consideration the bill entitled, an act to
regulate the compensation of the Judges of the Orphans' Court of
Baltimore city;

Mr. Harrington moved to strike out the enacting clause;
Which was determined in the affirmative.

The House took up for consideration the bill entitled, an act
to amend an act entitled, an act to regulate the issuing of licenses,
to traders, keepers of ordinaries, and others;

Mr. Wilson, of Calvert, offered the following as an additional
