The said bill was then sent to the Senate.

On motion of Mr. Partridge,                 

The rules were suspended to allow him to submit the following
message;                                                                     

By the House of Delegates,                 

February 27th, 1856.
Gentlemen of the Senate:

We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable Body to
proceed to elect a State Librarian, agreeably to the Constitution
and Laws, on Thursday the 28th of February, at 2 o'clock P. M.
of that day.

We also propose with your concurrence immediately after the
election of Librarian, to go into the election for a State Director
for. the Farmers' Bank of Maryland. We have nominated
Llewellyn Boyle on our part for Librarian, Reginald D. Wood-
ward for State Director in the Farmers' Bank of Maryland—and
we have appointed Messrs. Dorsey and Roberts to act as
tellers on our part, to meet such gentlemen as you may name to

count the ballots and report the result.

                                      Thos. H. Kent, of Jos., Clerk.

On motion of Mr. Partridge,
The name of Llewellyn Boyle was nominated as Librarian
also the name of Reginald D. Woodward for the State Director
in the Farmers' Bank of Maryland, and the names of Messrs.
Dorsey and Roberts as tellers ;

The said message was then read and sent to the Senate,
On motion of Mr. Brooke,
