the Methodist Episcopal Church of Greensborough, and the ves-
try of the Protestant Episcopal Church of St. John's Parish,
both in said county;

Which was made the order of the day for Wednesday next.

Mr. Brengle reported a hill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Franklin Savings Bank of Frederick;


Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee

on Corporations.                                           

Mr. Fiery reported a bill entitled, an act to change the place of
holding the elections in the seventh election district, of Washing-
ton county;

                                                                                                                                                  

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Loughridge reported a bill entitled, an act to authorise the
commissioners of Washington county, to levy a sum of money
therein mentioned, for the support of public schools in said

county;                                                       

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Abbott, from a select committee, reported with amend-
ments the bill entitled, an act to prevent obstructions in Union
Dock, in the city of Baltimore:             

Amendments Proposed.

After the word vessel in the second line of Section 1st, insert
the words "boat, float or raft."

In the fourth line of Section 3rd, after the word vessel, strike
out all the remainder of the line, also all of the fifth line and in-
sert "to be paid into the School Fund of the State of Mary-

land.

                   

Mr. Stewart reported a bill entitled an act to repeal an act
entitled, an act to regulate the meeting of the Orphans' Court of
Howard county, and the compensation of the Judges thereof,
passed April session, 1852, chapter 73, and to provide for the
future meetings of said court;


Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dorsey reported a bill entitled, a further supplement to an
act entitled, an act to provide for the public instruction of youth
in primary schools in Anne Arundel county, passed December
session, 1828, chapter 169;                                                       

Which was read the first time.
