vorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Trustees of
the Methodist Episcopal Parsonage of Greensborough circuit.

Also favorably upon the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
American Bank.

Also favorably upon the bill entitled, an act in favor of the

Western Railroad company, ignoring and waiving on the part of
the State, all cause of forfeiture by reason of the said company's
failure to comply with any of the provisions of the act of 1852,
chapter 304, and further amendatory of said original act;

Mr. Hall reported a bill entitled, an act to permit George W.
Hall to remove a slave for a term of years, from this State;

Which was rend the first time.

Mr. Sudler, from the committee on Colored population, report-
ed favorably a bill entitled, an act relating to free negroes and ,
slaves in Kent county;                                                 

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Scott reported favorably a bill entitled, an act to amend
an act entitled, an act to provide for the election of road super-
visors in the several counties of this State, so far as the same
relates to Cecil county.

Mr. Rankin, from the committee on pensions, offered the fol-
lowing resolution:

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Treasurer of Maryland pay upon the warrant of the Comptroller,
to Grace Bewley, widow of George Bewley, a private soldier of
the Revolutionary war, the sum of two hundred dollars, being
arrears of pension for five years preceeding the passage of this
act, and in addition thereto, that he pay to the said Grace Bew-
ley an annuity of forty dollars, the half pay of a private, for the
remainder of her life;
