trator of Alexander de la Tullaye, deceased, by authorising the
issue of a duplicate of a certificate of State loan, the original
whereof is lost or destroyed.

On motion of Mr. Loughridge,             

                                            

Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to in-
troduce a bill entitled, an act to authorize the Commissioners of
Washington county to levy a sum of money therein mentioned
for the support of the public schools of said county.                   

Mr. Stack offered the following order:                     

Ordered, That the committee on Judiciary be directed to report
upon bill No. 92, on Monday next; the said bill haying been re-
committed to the said committee;

Which was adopted.                                              

Mr. Frazier offered the following order:

Ordered, That from and after Monday next, this Mouse shall
meet at 10 o'clock, A. M , until the Monday following; and af-
terwards at 9 o'clock, A. M., for the purpose of despatching the
public business;

Which was adopted.                 

On motion of Mr. Fiery,                                         

Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to intro-
duce a bill to change the place of holding elections in the 7th dis-
trict of Washington county.

                                                                

On motion of Mr. Dowell,

Leave was granted the Committee on Inspections to introduce
a bill to provide for the appointment of a chief Tobacco Inspec-
tor, and prescribe his duties, and for the better regulation, of the
several Tobacco Warehouses in the city of Baltimore.

On motion of Mr. Dowell,                                     

Leave was granted the Calvert delegation to introduce a bill to
authorise the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Calvert County to make
and keep up a general index to the Land records in his office.

Mr. Daniel offered the following order,                         

Ordered, That the second reading of the bill entitled, an act
for the establishment of a uniform system of public education in
the State of Maryland, be made the order of the day for Tuesday
next;
