The rules were suspended to allow him to report from the com-
mittee on corporations, favorably on a bill entitled, an act to
amend the act entitled, an act to incorporate the Frederick and
Emmittsburg Turnpike Company, passed at December session
1844, chapter 136; and to authorize said company to charge toll
upon the whole length of the road now finished, and to repeal the
sixth section of said act.                                                       

On motion of Mr. Stack,
The rules were suspended to enable him to present the follow-
ing petitions:

A petition of David Knotts and 58 other citizens of Caroline
county, asking the Legislature not to disturb the charter of the
Farmers and Merchants Bank of Greensborough, for, reasons
therein set forth;

Also, a similar petition from J. M. Cannon and 29 other citi-
zens of Caroline county;

Also, a similar petition from William Pippin and 47 other citi-
zens of Caroline county;

Also, a similar petition from Alexander Hardcastle, and sundry
other citizens of Caroline county;

Also, a similar petition from Valentine Carter and 69 other
citizens of Caroline county;                     

Which were referred to the committee on Corporations.

Also, presented a petition of Henry Corkrin and others praying
an alteration in the school districts of Caroline county;           

Which was referred to a select committee.
On motion of Mr. Wright,

The rules were suspended to enable him to report a bill enti-
tled, an act to regulate constable's fees in Baltimore county.
