Which was referred to the Committee on Education.

Mr. Hall presented a petition of Samuel T. Stonestreet and
other citizens of Montgomery county, praying a uniform regis-
ration of births, marriages, and deaths in this State;

Which was referred to the Committee on Judiciary,

Mr. Duvall presented a petition of Samuel Patterson and 57
other citizens of Harford county, asking to authorise the Com-
missioners of said county to build a bridge across Bynum's Run;

Which was referred to the Committee on Roads.

Mr. Harrington presented a memorial of 180 citizens of Bal-
timore city, to give criminal jurisdiction to magistrates in certain
cases;

Which was referred to the Committee on Judiciary.

Mr. Smith of Baltimore city, presented a petition of the criers
and bailiffs of the several courts in the city of Baltimore, pray-
ing for relief therein mentioned;                                                         

Which was referred to the Baltimore city delegation.

Also a petition of John Harris executor of John Higham of

the city of Baltimore, praying for relief therein mentioned;

Which was referred to the Committee on ways and means.

Mr, Partridge presented a petition of Mason L. Weems and
others in relation to wharfage paid by them to the State's agent in
in Baltimore;                                                                             

Which was referred to the Committee on Inspections.

Mr. Toadvine presented a petition of 24 citizens of Somerset
county in reference to the balance due the Eastern Shore on ac-
count of Internal Improvements;                                                       

Which was referred to the Committee on ways and means.

Mr. Brengle presented a memorial from William Price, Samuel
Tyler and Frederick Stone, asking compensation for their services
as Commissioners appointed to revise, simplify, and abridge the
rules of practice, pleadings, forms of conveyancing and proceed-
ings of the Courts of this State;

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Sudler presented a petition of sundry citizens of Kent
county in relation to the license law;           

Which was referred to the Committee on ways and means.
