A bill entitled, an act to allow a pension, to Catharine, S., Mc-
Kim, widow of Alexander McKim, a private in the Cavalry in
the war of the Revolution, and appropriating a sum of money for
the payment thereof,

Was read the second time.                

A bill entitled, an act confirmatory of the title of the General
Insurance Company of Maryland to the Franklin Turnpike Road,
and of the license to erect and fix gates across the. same, and col-
lect tolls thereupon, heretofore issued by the Governor, to the said
General Insurance Company of Maryland,

Was read the second time.              

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the Clerk of the Circuit
Court for Howard county to execute a deed of manumission for
the slaves of Jeremiah Wilson, deceased,

Was read the second time.           

A bill entitled, an act entitled, an act for the relief of Joseph
Buntom and his wife and children, free negroes of the State of

New York;                            

                     

On motion of Mr. Roberts,
The said bill was postponed to Wednesday, the 27th inst.

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Carroll's Island Com-
pany of Baltimore County,                                   

Was read the second time.

A bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Trustee's of the Metho-
dist Episcopal Parsonage of Greensborough Circuit,

Was read the second time.

Mr. Hauver moved the House adjourn;

Which was determined in the negative.            

                                            

Mr. Rankin moved the House adjourn;                         

Which was determined in the negative.

A bill entitled, an act for the benefit of Daniel Hubbard, of
Caroline county;                                               

Mr. Roberts offered the following amendment:

"Be it enacted, that this act shall take effect from and after its
passage;"
