conveyance from Charles Wood, as. Trustee of Joshua Wood, to
Denton Hammond;                                              

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Judiciary.                                               

Also, a bill entitled, an act to prevent usury in certain cases;

Which was read the first time, and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.

Mr. Roberts from a Select Committee reported a bill entitled,
an act to incorporate the town of Trappe, in Talbot county;

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Corporations.                                                                       

Mr. Dowell from a select committee reported a bill entitled, an
apt for the relief of Henry Owings, of Samuel, of Calvert coun-
ty.                                                 

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Stone from a Select Committee reported favorably on the
Senate bill entitled, an act to repeal an act entiled, an act to reg-
ulate fisheries in the waters of the Potomac river within the juris-
diction of Maryland, and to protect the breed of fish therein.

Mr. Smith of Carroll, from a Select Committee, reported a bill
entitled, an act to change the names of Oliver Jackson Wilson,
Philemon Henry Wilson, Martha Wilson, Sarah Lowry Wilson,
and Elizabeth Wilson;                                                  

Which was read the first time.            

On motion of Mr. Daniel,                    

The bill entitled, an act to erect a new dormitory for the Mary-
land Penitentiary;

Was recommitted to the Committee that reported it.

Mr. Brengle reported a bill entitled, a supplement to the sup-
plement, passed at December session 1849, chapter 561, which
is a supplement to an act entitled, an act to incorporate the Bal-
timore and Ohio Railroad Company, passed at December session
1826;           

Which was read the first time and referred to the Committee
on Judiciary.                                                                             


On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,                       

Ordered, That it be entered on the Journal that Mr. Rolph is
detained from his seat by indisposition.
