to refund to Samuel W. Jones, Register of Wills, of Somerset
county, and to Levin Woolford, clerk of said county, certain
moneys erroneously paid by them into the treasury.

On motion of Mr. Valiant,                                     

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary, to introduce a
bill to prevent stock gambling.

On motion of Mr. Kildow,

Leave was granted Messrs. Kildow, Wickes, and Frey, to in-
troduce a bill to appoint commissioners to run out and mark the
dividing line between districts numbers one and four in Allegany
county.                         

On motion of Mr. Wright,              

Leave was granted the Baltimore county delegation to introduce
a bill to regulate constable fees in Baltimore county.

On motion of Mr. Loughridge,                  

Leave was granted the Washington county delegation to in-
troduce a bill authorising the Washington Hotel company, incor-
porated by the act of 1853, chapter 226, to issue coupon bonds
and secure the payment thereof by a deed of trust at all its pro-
perty.                                                               

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to introduce a
bill authorising executors and administrators to convey real es-
tate by deed in certain cases.         

On motion of Mr. Harrington,

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to introduce a
bill to grant criminal jurisdiction to the Magistrates of the city of
Baltimore, in certain cases.                                                             

On motion of Mr. Askew,                           

Leave was granted the Committee on Judiciary to introduce a
bill to amend the act of 1853, chapter 409, regulating the bonds
to be given by the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas, and of
the Superior Court, and the Register of Wills of Baltimore city;
and requiring such bond to be renewed and approved as good
and sufficient, as therein directed.

On motion of Mr, Silver,

The rules were suspended to enable him to present a petition of
William Galloway, Stevenson Archer, Otho Scott, and 91 others,
of Harford county, against taxing Mutual Insurance Companies
in this State;
