Which was adopted.

Mr. Silver, from the Committee on Corporations, reported fa-
vorably on the bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Mutual fire in-
surance company of Calvert county.

Which was read the first time.


Also, favorably on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the

Manufacturers Fire Insurance Company of Maryland.

Also, favorably on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the
Carroll's Island Company of Baltimore county.            

Mr. Daniel, from a Select committee, reported a bill entitled,
an act appropriating a sum of money for the relief of the Mary-
land Institution for the instruction of the blind.

Which was read the first time.                       

Mr. Lester, from a select committee, reported a bill entitled,
an act to regulate the returns of elections for municipal officers
of the city of Baltimore.                 

Which was read the first time.

                             

Mr. Stewart from a select committee;, reported favorably a bill
entitled, an act for the relief of Edward A. Talbott, late Sheriff of
Howard county .

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Plowden from a select committee, reported a bill entitled,
an act to incorporate the village of Leonardtown in St. Mary's

county.                                                                               

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Frazier, from the Committee on Claims, reported a bill
entitled, an act to provide for the payment of fees to Robert Ford
and Frederick Stone for legal services rendered the State.

Which was read the first time.                      

On motion of Mr. Rankin,                        

The rules were suspended to enable him to present a memorial
of citizens of Baltimore county, for restraining hogs from run-
ning at large within eight miles of the city of Baltimore.

Which was referred to the Committee on Corporations.
The order of the day being                                                

A bill entitled, an act to provide for the repairing the old, and
the construction of additional public buildings at Annapolis.
