Mr. Dorsey presented the petition of Nicholas H. Green, Clerk
of the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel county, for the payment of

fees due him by the State;

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.

                                    

On motion of Mr. Carper,                                          

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce
a bill to lay off and establish a new county, composed of parts
of Frederick and Washington counties, to be called Johnson
county.

On motion of Mr. Brengle,

Leave was granted the Committee on the Judiciary to introduce
a bill to make valid a certain deed of conveyance from Charles
Wood, as Trustee of Joshua Wood, to Demon Hammond.


On motion of Mr. Toadvine,

Leave was granted the Somerset delegation to introduce a bill
to repeal the act of 1834, chapter 119.

On motion of Mr. Toadvine,

Leave was granted the Somerset delegation to introduce a bill
to repeal so much of the act of 1854, chapter 194, as relates
the town of Salisbury, in Somerset county.         

On motion of Mr. Roberts,

Leave was granted to the Talbot delegation to introduce a bill
to incorporate the town of Trappe, in Talbot county.

On motion of Mr. Silver,                                                 

Leave was granted the Committee on Claims to report a bill
for the relief; of Aquilla Wiles, an insane citizen of Harford
county.                                                   

On motion of Mr. Stewart,                                 

Leave was granted the Howard delegation to introduce a bill
for the relief of Edward A. Talbot, late Sheriff of Howard
county.                                                                            

On a motion of Mr. Stack,

Leave was granted the Committee on Education to introduce

a bill to establish a uniform system of education in Caroline

county.

On motion of Mr. Harris,                                                

Leave was granted the St. Mary's and Charles county delega-
tions to introduce a bill to authorise the erection of a suitable jail
in Leonardtown, in St. Mary's county.
