The proceedings of yesterday were read.

Mr. Goldsborough presented the memorial of citizens of Queen
Anne's county in relation to the balance of the one million of
dollars due the Eastern Shore for Internal Improvements;

Which was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Dail presented the memorial of Levin Mobray, of Dorches-
ter county, praying the Legislature to refund to him a certain sum

of money erronously paid into the Treasury;                     

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.             

Mr. Duvall presented the petition of Noble Cannon and 42
other citizens of Harford county asking protection for inmates of
convents;
