The rules were suspended to take up for a second reading a
bill entitled, an act to authorize the justices of the peace in the
several election districts of Allegany county to deliver their dock-
ets and all official papers appertaining thereto, into the hands of
their respective successors in office.

Mr. Toadvine offered the following amendment:
After "Allegany county," insert "Somerset county."
