Which was referred to (he Committee on Judiciary.
On motion of Mr. Scott,

Leave was granted to introduce a bill to authorise the County
Commissioners of Cecil county to build a draw bridge in said
county and to levy a sum of money to pay for the same;

Which was referred to the Cecil county delegation.

On motion of Mr. Partridge,

Leave was granted to introduce an act supplementary loan act
entitled, an act for the relief of insolvent debtors passed at Jan-
uary session 1854, chapter 193;                                  

Which was referred to the Committee on Insolvency.

Mr. Stone from the Committee on Roads and Highways asked
leave to be discharged from the further consideration of the bill
entitled, an act to amend the act entitled, an act to incorporate
the Frederick and Emmittsburg Turnpike Company, passed at
December Session 1844, chapter 136, and to authorise said com-
pany to charge toll upon the whole length of their road now fin-
ished, and to repeal the sixth section of said act.

Mr. Silver, from the Committee on Corporations, reported a
bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Patapsco Steam Tug
Company of Baltimore.                                                   

Which was read the first time.

Also, on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Maryland Iron
and Bolt Manufactory.

Which was read the first time.

Also, on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the President and
Directors of the Book Concern and Periodical of the Methodist
Protestant church.                         

Which was read the first time.

Also, on a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Board of Visi-
ters of the Mount Washington Female College near Balti-
more.

Which was read the first time.

Also, on a bill entitled, a supplement to an act entitled, an act
to incorporate the town of Westminster, in Carroll county, by
the name of the city of Westminster, passed at December session
1849, chapter 299.
