Brice to hare refunded to them certain moneys erroneously paid
into the treasury by them;                                                          

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims.

Mr. Waters presented the petition of sundry citizens of Anne
Arundel county praying for a tax on dogs in said county;

Which was referred to the Anne Arundel county delegation.

Mr. Reichard presented a petition of Samuel Pry and 42 other
citizens of Washington county praying that the commissioners of
said county be authorized to levy a sum of money to build a bridge
over little Antietam on the road leading from Hitts' bridge and
intersecting with the Boonsboro' and Sharpsburg Turnpike one
quarter of a mile southwest of Hudysville;

Which was referred to the Washington county delegation.

Mr. Hugg presented a memorial from Messrs. Coale & Fenby
of Baltimore, asking the return of certain moneys therein named;

Which was referred to the Committee on Claims,

Mr Wickes presented a petition of 30 citizens of Cumberland
praying that the Legislature will pass no law authorising the cor-
porate powers of said town to increase the taxation by the issuing
of bonds for the purpose of supplying the town with water;

Which was referred to the Allegany county delegation

Mr. Brengle from 146 citizens of District No 2. praying an act
providing for the holding of two polls or voting places in the
town of Frederick;                                                   

Which was referred to the Frederick county delegation.

Mr. Davis presented a petition of Thomas A. Smith and sun-
other citizens of Frederick county, praying for a law to equalize
taxation in said county;

Which was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Also a petition of Thomas A. Smith and sundry other citizens
of Urbana District No 7, Frederick county, praying protection,
&c., for females in convents;

Which was referred to a Special Committee,

Mr. Daniel presented a petition from sundry citizens of Caro-
line county praying the Legislature to authorise the devises of
Mary E. A. Reed, to certain churches named in her will;           

Which was referred to the Committee on Judiciary.
