A bill entitled, an act appropriating a sum of money for the

payment of William Snyder, for services rendered to the State,
Was read the second time.                           

The following amendment was proposed by the committee who
reported said bill, but was not assented to:

Strike out "two hundred," in the third line of the first section,
and insert "one hundred and fifty."

The said bill was then ordered to be engrossed for a third
reading.                                                  

A bill entitled, an act authorising a patent to be issued to Pere-
grine Harp, for the tract of land called "Minor's Beginning,"

Was read the second time,

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the Mayor and Councilmen
of the city of Cumberland, to issue the bonds of said city for the
purpose of procuring a plentiful supply of pure and wholesome

Was read the second time.

A bill entitled, an act to amend the act entitled, an act to in-
corporate the Dime Savings Bank, in the city of Baltimore,
passed at January Session, eighteen hundred and fifty-four, chap-
ter three hundred and twenty,

Was read the second time.
