And a bill entitled, an act to pay Mountjoy B. Luckett for ser-
vices rendered the State in the case of the State against Basi-
Eves of Frederick county; indicted for murder;
Mr. Loughridge from the Select Committee reported favorably
on a bill entitled, an act to amend the act passed at January ses-
sion 1852, chapter 182 entitled, an act to incorporate the town of
Sharpsburg and Miller's addition to Sharpsburg; and
Also the act passed at January session 1853, chapter 342,
amendatory of said act to provide a more effectual punishment for
the violation of the ordinances of said town;

on a bill entitled, an act to authorise and empower the trustees of
Parsonage property of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Cen-
treville circuit, in Queen Anne's county, to sell and convey a cer-
tain part of said property now held by them in trust, and to make
a certain application of the proceeds of sale:

district No. 3 from district No. 5, in Allegany county;

an act to increase the allowance to the sheriff of Talbot county
for keeping and boarding in jail of said county, such prisoners as
may be committed for breaches of the peace or for any criminal
