The said bill was then sent to the Senate.                       

On motion of Mr. Daniel,

It was ordered, the further second reading of bills for to-
day be dispensed with, so as to allow bills entitled to a third
reading to be read a third time and put upon their passage.

A bill entitled, an act to authorize the payment of Bradley T.

Johnson, tor professional services rendered to the State;

Was read the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as fol-

lows:

gro or negro slave committed to the jail of said county by any
citizen of this State;

Which was read the first time.                  

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,                       

The rules were suspended to take up for the second reading the
bill entitled, an act to authorize and empower the trustees of the
Parsonage property of the Methodist Episcopal Church in Centre-
ville Circuit, in Queen Anne's county, to sell and convey a cer-
tain part of said property now held by them in trust, and to make
a certain application of the proceeds of sale;

Which was rend the second time, and                           

On motion of Mr. Goldsborough,

Three fourths of the members concurring, the said bill was read
the third time, and passed by yeas and nays as follows:
