Which was read the first time.

Mr. Dorsey from the minority of the Special Committee com-
posed of the Baltimore city and Anne Arundel county delegations
reported a bill entitled, an act to build a bridge over the river
Patapsco at Ferry Bar;

Which was read the first time.

Mr. Frazier, Chairman of the Committee on Claims reported
favorably on a bill entitled, an act in favor of Robert G. Price, for-
mer collector of Queen Anne's county;

Which was read the first time.

A bill entitled, a further supplement to a bill entitled, an act to
incorporate the Baltimore and Philadelphia Rail Road Company;

Was read the second time.

A bill entitled, an act for the more speedy and convenient ad-
justment and collection of debts due the State;
Was read the second time.                                       

A bill entitled, an act to authorise certain trustees or their suc-
cessor, or the survivors of them, to sell and convey the Parsonage
house and lot of the Methodist Episcopal Church in the Greens-
borough circuit, and purchase another parsonage house and lot
with the proceeds of said lot;                               

Was read the second time.

A bill entitled, an act to authorise the register of wills and the
clerk of the Circuit Court of Worcester county, to have the re-
cord books in their respective offices repaired ;                     

Was read the second time.                 

                   

A bill entitled, a supplement to an act entitled, an act relating

to that portion of the Franklin road lying within the State of
Maryland, providing for the appointment of trustees for the resale

thereof;                                     

Was read the second time.

A bill entitled, an act in favor of Robert G. Price, former col-
lector of Queen Anne's county;

Was read the second time.
The Secretary of the Senate returned the following:

A bill entitled, an act to alter and change the name of John
White of the city of Baltimore to the name of John W. Maxfield;

Endorsed "passed by yeas and nays."

Also, returned a bill entitled, an act to incorporate the Presi-
dent and Directors of the Howard Fire Insurance Company of
