Also, all that portion of said Message which relates to the internal
improvements, to the Committee on Internal Improvements ;

Which motions were acceded to.                              

On motion of the same gentleman all that portion of said
Message which relates to Education was referred to the Commit-
tee on Education ;

That portion of the Message which has reference to the Militia,,
was referred to the Committee on Militia ;

All that part of the Message which relates to Agriculture, was
referred to the Committee on Agriculture ;

All that portion of the Message which relates to Crimes and
Punishments, and the Penitentiary and House of Refuge, was
referred to the Committee on the Judiciary ;

Also all that part of said Message which relates to the settle-
ment of Boundaries between the States of Maryland and Virginia,
was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

The Speaker laid before the House communications from the
Clerks of the Circuit Courts of Montgomery and Harford counties:

To the Honorable the General Assembly of Maryland.

In pursuance of an act of Assembly of Maryland, passed at
November Session 1809, chap. 181, Sec. 2, the Clerk of the
Circuit Court of Montgomery county, reports to the General As-
sembly of Maryland as follows :

That March term of said Court in the year 1855, commenced
on Monday the filth day of the same month and continued in ses-
sion six days; during which time the Hon. Nicholas Brewer at-
tended six days.                 

That November term of said Court commenced on Monday
the twelfth day of the same month and continued in session six
days; that during said term the Hon. Nicholas Brewer, attended
five days, and that Uriah Forrest, Esq., (special Judge) attended
two days.                                               

In witness whereof I hereto set my name this 27th day of No- .
vember; 1855.
