Also, a bill entitled, "an Act to make valid certain deeds from
the Llangollen Mining Company to William Lannon;"           

Also, a bill entitled, "an act to make valid a deed from the
Llangollen Mining Company to John Kight;

Also, a bill entitled, "an Act to make valid a deed from the
Llangollen Mining Company to John Crawford;"

Also, a bill entitled, "an Act supplementary to an act entitled,
an act relating to non-resident guardians of infants, living out of
this State, and having property therein," passed at December
session, eighteen hundred and forty-Six, chapter three hundred.

The same gentleman also reported unfavorably on the extension
to other counties of the provisions of the following bill;

"An Act to give the Justices of the Peace of Worcester coun-
ty jurisdiction in all cases of assault and battery herein before
given to the Magistrates' Courts of this State by the act of
eighteen hundred and thirty-five, chapter two hundred and one."
Also, on the bill entitled, "an Act amendatory of an act
entitled, an Act to incorporate a Mutual Fire Insurance Compa-
ny in Cecil county," passed January thirtieth, eighteen hundred
and forty-six ;

Also, on the bill entitled, "an Act amendatory or an
Act entitled, an Act to incorporate the Manchester Mining Com-
pany," passed at January session, eighteen hundred and fifty-
four, chapter two hundred and thirty-eight, authorizing said
Company to issue bonds and dispose of the same."

Mr. Daniel presented a petition of the Director's of the Mary-
land Penitentiary for Legislative aid and relief,

Was read and referred to a Select Committee heretofore ap-
pointed to visit the Penitentiary, &c.

Mr. Brengle, from the Select Committee, reported favorably on
a bill entitled, "an Act to provide for the per diem allowance of
the Judges of the Orphans' Court of Frederick county, and to
regulate the mode of payment thereof.

Mr. Carper, Chairman of Frederick and Carroll counties dele-
gations, reported favorably on the petition from sundry citizens
of Frederick county, asking the Legislature to enact a law to
authorize the Commissioners of Frederick and Carroll counties to
appropriate a sum of money for erecting a bridge across Double
Pipe Creek,

Which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.

On motion of Mr. Partridge,

The further reading of the bill was postponed until Thursday,
the 24th inst.
