SENATE BILL No. 242, BY MR. HARRISON.
SUBJECT: ROAD LOAN OF $2, 500, 000 FOR STATE
ROADS SYSTEM.

on its second reading.

Amendment proposed by Mr. Williams: "In Section 7, page
6 of the printed Bill, strike out all after the word 'except, ' in
line 32; to the end of section and substitute therefor the fol-
lowing: 'that so much of the said sum of two millions of dol-
lars as may be necessary shall be first applied to the comple-
tion of the uncompleted secondary gaps in the State roads
system as set forth in the preliminary report of the State
Roads Commission to the General Assembly of 1916; and,
second, for the building of uncompleted gaps in incorporated
towns not built through, as set forth in said report; and,
third, for the building of bridges within said main arterial
system, as set forth in Class A and Class B of bridges named
in said report as needing reconstruction. '" [Which was read
and rejected. ]

Mr. Frick moved to recommit the Bill to the Committee on
Finance. Which was rejected by yeas and nays as follows:
