Mr. Cooper submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 21, 1916.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
that when the General Assembly adjourns today, it stands
adjourned until Tuesday, January 25, 1916, at 12 o'clock noon.

Secretary.

[Which was read, assented to, and sent to the House of
Delegates. ] [No answer. ]

Mr. Archer submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 21, 1916.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

Two votes having been taken on the joint ballots of the
Senate and House of Delegates for the election of a Treasurer
of the State of Maryland to succeed the Hon. Murray Van-
diver, without the election of a Treasurer, we propose, with
the concurrence of your Honorable Body, to proceed forthwith
to take another joint ballot of the Senate and House of
Delegates, for the election of a Treasurer, with the same tellers
and under the same conditions as the previous balloting was
done.

P. WATSON WEBB,

Secretary.
[Which was read and rejected. ]

At 2. 10 o'clock P. M., on motion of Mr. Cooper, the Senate
adjourned until Monday, January 24, 1916, at 8 o'clock P. M.
