strike out the period after the word 'Bureau, ' and insert a
comma; and on line 92 of said section place a period after
the word 'Warden, ' and strike out the remainder of said sec-
tion. "
No. 5—"On page 4 of the printed Bill, strike out the period
after the word 'measures, ' on line 109 of Section 8, and insert
in lieu thereof a comma; and strike out all of said Section
8 after the said word 'measures' and the comma, and insert
in lieu thereof the following: 'and he shall see that all laws
relating to licenses and inspections are enforced. The Com-
mission shall appoint such general measurers and inspectors
of oysters and special inspectors as are now or may here-
after be required by law, who shall be vested with the powers
and authority to enforce all existing laws or those hereafter
enacted relating to or for the protection, propagation or con-
servation of fish, wild fowl, oysters, crabs, clams, terrapin,
and all other laws which the Commission is required to en-
force. Said persons so appointed shall possess the same
powers as constables under the common law and under the
Statutes of the State of Maryland within the limits of the
State of Maryland as far as arresting and prosecuting per-
sons for violation of. any of the laws which the Conservation
Commission has jurisdiction to enforce, ' "
No. 6—"On page 4 of the printed Bill, after the word 'Com-
mission, ' on line 124, Section 9, strike out the words 'its staff
and, ' and insert in lieu thereof the following: 'its engineer,
clerks and other; ' and in line 136 of said section on page 5
of the printed Bill, strike out the words 'State Game Warden
and his subordinates, ' and insert in lieu thereof the words
'Game Wardens. '"
No. 7—"In line 33 of Section 2 on page 2 of the printed
Bill, strike out the figures '$1, 500, ' and insert in lieu thereof
the figures '$1, 200; ' and strike out lines 34, 35 and 36 of said
Section 2 and insert in lieu thereof the following: 'and such
assistants not exceeding three in number, and not more than
may be absolutely needed for the performance of the work of
the Commission, at graded salaries to be paid by the Commis-
sion, not to exceed one thousand dollars ($ 1, 000) a year for
any such assistants, as it may deem necessary to aid it in the
proper performance of its duties, as prescribed in this Act. "
No. 8—"Amend by striking out after the word 'crabs, ' on
line 55 of Section 4, sub-section (1), page 3 of the printed
Bill, all of said line and all of lines 56 and 57. "
