Amendment proposed by Mr. Archer: "Strike out all after
the words 'A Bill' and insert in lieu thereof the following:
'entitled An Act to add a new section to Article 13 of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Harford County; ' providing
for the compensation of the bailiff to the Grand Jury of the
Circuit Court for Harford county, the same to be in lieu of
the per diem now provided for by Section 11 of Article 36
of Bagby's Annotated Code of Public General Laws.
'Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the bailiff to the Grand Jury of the Circuit
Court for Harford county shall receive twenty-five dollars
($25) for each term of the Circuit Court for Harford county
which he shall attend, and to which a jury is summoned, the
said amount to be in lieu of the per diem the said bailiff is
now entitled to under Section 11 of Article 36 of Bagby's
Annotated Code of Public General Laws. [Which was read
and adopted. ] [Which favorable report was adopted, which
was read the second time and ordered printed for a third
reading. ]
At 6. 30 o'clock P. M., on motion of Mr. Shepherd, the Senate
went into Executive session.
At 7. 20 o'clock P. M. the Senate resumed Legislative busi-
ness.

SUBJECT: STATE CONSERVATION COMMISSION.

Amendments proposed by Mr, Archer:
No. 1—"In line 10 of the title of. the printed Bill, after the
words 'Commissioners of Fisheries, ' insert the following:
'Commander of -the State Fishery Force, State Game War-
den. '"
No. 2—"In Section 1 strike out all after the words 'shall
be binding' on line 22 of page 2 of the printed Bill, and insert
in lieu thereof the following: 'The salary of the chairman
of the Commission shall be three thousand dollars ($3, 000)
a year. The other two members of the Commission shall serve
without pay, but shall be entitled to receive their necessary
traveling expenses and disbursements incurred by them in
the discharge of their official duties not to exceed the amount
