Senate Bill No. 41, entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum
of money for the purpose of dredging the Pocomoke River,
from Snow Hill (in Maryland) to the dividing line between,
the State of Maryland and Delaware. "

The Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 21, 1916.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
to proceed with the election of Treasurer of the State of
Maryland on Friday, January 21, 1916, at 1 o'clock P. M.
We have named on the part of the House of Delegates, Hon.
Murray Vandiver, Henry A. Osborne, Jr., and Robert F. Duer,
and have appointed as tellers on the part of the House of
Delegates of Maryland, Messrs. McIntosh and Shartzer, and
in connection with the tellers appointed by your Honorable
Body, who are to receive the votes of the Senate and count
the same. We propose that the election of the Treasurer of
Maryland shall be by joint ballot, in accordance with Article
6, Section 1, of the Constitution of the State of Maryland, and
that the procedure be as follows:
Each member, in his respective Chamber, as his name is
called by the Reading Clerk thereof, will advance and hand
his ballot to one of the tellers, who shall exhibit it to the
