Whereupon Mr. Frick submitted the following message:

BY THE SENATE,

January 20, 1916.

Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We have received your message proposing to proceed to the
election of the Treasurer of Maryland, by joint ballot, in ac-
cordance with the provisions of Section 1 of Article 6 of the
Constitution of the State, 011 Thursday, January 20, 1916, at
4 o'clock P. M., after the manner and form of "the first ballot
cast for the election of the Treasurer of the State, and we have
appointed the same tellers who officiated as such on the -first
ballot, and we most respectfully non-concur therein.

Secretary.

[Which was read, assented to, and sent to the. House of
Delegates. ],

At 4. 10'o'clock'P. M., on motion of Mr. Cooper, the Senate
adjourned until Friday, January 21, 1916, at 11 o'clock A. M.

ANNAPOLIS, Friday, January 21, 1916.

The Senate met at 11 o'clock A. M.
Prayer by Rev. H. P. Baker.
