honorably discharged soldiers in the public offices of the State
of Maryland. [Which was read and referred to the Committee
on Finance. ]

Also a petition of Charles N. Beebe, principal of Berwyn
School; Catherine L. Tighe, principal Riverdale School; S. C.
Sturgis, principal Hyattsville Public School; Brother Ger-
manus, director of Senior Department, Normal Institute;
Brother Edmund, director of Senior Department, Normal
Institute, and Brother Francis, director of Junior Depart-
ment, Normal Institute, in favor of the passage of the Bill
to reduce the cost of commutation tickets for school children.
[Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings. ]

Also a petition of Henry Sommers, 608 S. Milton avenue,
Baltimore, Maryland, in favor of House Bill No. 5. [Which

was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
