Bulk Sale Law and False Statement Act. [Which was read
and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

Two-thirds of all the Senators, voting in the affirmative, the
rules were suspended by yeas and nays as follows:

Permission granted Mr. Cooper to introduce the following
Bill, being Senate Bill No. 684, entitled "An Act to
provide for a police justice for Caroline county and to define
Ms duties, authority, jurisdiction and compensation and to
repeal all Acts or parts of Acts, inconsistent with said Act. "
[Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Cooper, Shepherd and Bennett. ]

Also a petition of the W. & J. Knox Net and Twine Com-
pany, Johnson and Barney streets, Baltimore, Maryland, pro-
testing against the passage of House Bill No. 539, introduced by
Delegate Emmet W. White, of Baltimore city, prohibiting the
employment of children under 16 years of age. [Which was
read and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

Also a petition of Johnson, Boyd & Company, Baltimore,
Maryland, in favor of the passage of House Bills Nos. 330 and
331, known as the Bulk Sale Law and False Statement Act.
[Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings. ]

Also a petition of Snow, Mecaslin & Company, 115-117 W.
Baltimore street, Baltimore, Maryland, in favor of the passage
of House Bills Nos. 330 and 331, known as the Bulk Sale Law
and False Statement Act. [Which was read and referred to
the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

Also a petition of Rear Admiral Richard P. Leary, Garri-
son No. 60, Army and Navy Union, in favor of the passage of
House Bill No. 5, providing for the employment of honorably
discharged soldiers in the public offices of the State of Mary-
land. [Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Finance. ]

Also a petition of the Department of Maryland of the Army
and Navy Union of the United States of America, by Charles
G. Wanner, Department Adjutant-General, in favor of the
