amend Article 21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title 'Talbot County, ' sub-title 'Easton, ' by adding thereto
a section to be designated and numbered as Section 69-A, to
authorize and empower the Mayor and Council of Easton to
extend the improvement of the streets of said town whenever
there may be any surplus revenue and to assess one-half of
the said improvements upon the abutting properties. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to Senators Collier, Legg
and Shepherd. ]
By Mr. Duvall: Senate Bill No. 651, entitled "An Act to re-
peal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1, 3, 6, 9, 10,
11, 14, 17, 21 and 27 of Article 2 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title 'Anne Arundel County, ' sub-title 'Almshouse, ' as
amended by Chapter 166, Acts of 1892, and by Chapter 445,
Acts of 1894, the sub-title of which was changed by Chapter
32, Acts of 190(3, to 'Anne Arundel County Home'; and to add
an additional section to said Article to be known as Section
27-A. " [Which was read the first time and referred to Sena-
tors Duvall, Johnson and Holmead. ]
By Mr. Parsons: Senate Bill No. 652, entitled "An Act to
authorize the County Commissioners of Somerset county to
regulate by ordinance both freight and passenger traffic of
automobile buses operating upon the county roads of Somer-
set county and to impose a fine for the violation of any such
ordinance. [Which was read the first time and referred to
the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Legg, by request: Senate Bill No. 653, entitled "An
Act to amend Article 72 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(Bagby's Edition), by adding to said Article an additional
section to follow Section 134 and to be known as Section
134-A, so as to prescribe additional penalties for violation of
the provisions of said Section 134. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings. ]
By Mr. Jones, by request: Senate Bill No. 654, entitled "An
Act to prohibit the shipment, carrying in, transportation or
delivery of intoxicating liquor for beverage purposes within
the limits of Montgomery county, and providing penalties for
