approved.

ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Legg it was ordered that Senator Har-
rison be excused from today's session on account of impor-
tant business.

On motion of Mr. Legg is was ordered that Senator Collier
be excused from today's session on account of sickness in his
family.

On motion of Mr. Shepherd it was ordered that Senator
Bennett be excused from today's session on account of impor-
tant business.

On motion of Mr. Brown it was ordered that Senator Wil-
liams be excused on account of important business.

On motion of Mr. Chesley it was ordered that Mr. Mudd
be excused from today's session on account of sickness.

The Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and
delivered the following message:

BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
Gentlemen of the Senate: January 14, 1916.

We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable Body,
that when the General Assembly adjourns today it stands
adjourned until Tuesday, January 18, at 1 o'clock P. M.

The Maryland Committee appointed to meet jointly with
the Virginia Committee for the purpose of considering joint
