Also a Bill entitled "An Act to declare the sanction and con-
sent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the bequest
contained in the will of Jacob Castelberg, late of Baltimore
city, deceased, to The Chizuk Emoonah Synagogue of Balti-
more city. "

[Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings hereafter to be appointed. ]

Also a Bill entitled "An Act to declare the sanction and con-
sent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the gift, de-
vise and bequest to the 'Board of Missions of the Methodist
Episcopal Church South, ' a body corporate, by the last will
and testament of Ida R. Shipley, of all the rest, residue and
remainder of her estate, to take effect upon the expiration
of certain, life estates. "

[Which was read the first time and referred to the Commit-
tee on Judicial Proceedings hereafter to be appointed. ]

At 1. 30 o'clock P. M., on motion of Mr. Cooper, the Senate
took a recess until 2. 30 o'clock P. M.

At 2. 30 o'clock P. M. the Senate resumed its session. Pres-
ent at roll call the following Senators:
