penalties for the violation thereof and exempting certain
waters from the provisions of this Act, and to prohibit in the
waters of Back River and other waters of Baltimore county
the gigging or spearing of fish with gigs or spears at any time
during the year, and providing a penalty therefor. " [En-

Norris and Archer. ']

Also House Bill "No. 280, entitled "An Act to authorize the
State Board of Education to pay to Charles T. Wright of
Harford county a pension as provided for in Section 62 of
Article 77 of Bagby's Annotated Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, title 'Public Education, ' sub-title 'Teachers. '"
[Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and
nays"] [Which was read the 'first time and referred to the
Committee on Education. ]

Also House Bill No. 491, entitled "An Act to authorize and
empower Warner Travers to construct in front of his property
on Upper Hoopers Island in Dorchester county, a wharf ex-
tending into the waters of Honga River, at a place called
'Old House Point, ' at the mouth of Back Creek. " [Endorsed:
"Read the third time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings. ]

Also House Bill No. 477, entitled "An Act to amend Section
143 of Article 43 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland (Bagby's Code), title 'Health, ' sub-title 'State
Veterinary Medical Board, ' as far as the same applies to Alle-
gany county, so as to read as follows. " [Endorsed: "Read the
third time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was read
the first time and referred to the Committee on Sanitary Con-
dition of State. ]

Also House Bill No. 553, entitled "An Act to tax. dogs in
Frederick county. " [Endorsed: "Read the third time and
passed by yeas and nays"] [Which was read the first time and
referred to Senators Kaufman, Zihlman and Bomberger. ]

Also House Bill No. 555, entitled "An Act to regulate the
salaries of school teachers in Talbot county, Maryland, and
to provide for the levying by the County Commissioners of
said county of the funds necessary to provide for payment of
the salaries of such teachers. " [Endorsed: "Read the third
time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which was read the
first time and referred to Senators Collier, Legg and Shep-
herd. ]
