ORDERS.

On motion of Mr. Shepherd it was ordered that Senator
Harrison be excused from today's session on account of sick-
ness.

On motion of Mr. Chesley it was ordered that Senator Mudd
be excused from today's session on account of important busi-
ness.

On motion of Mr. Frick the committee appointed to escort
the Judges of the Court of Appeals to the Senate Chamber
were excused.

INTRODUCTION OF RESOLUTION.
By the President:

WHEREAS, The Senate has been informed of the death of
Lula Roberts Lee, wife of Delegate Robert E. Lee, Chairman
of the City House Delegation of the House of Delegates, in
the General Assembly, Session of 1916, and the interment of
her body at Easton, Talbot County, on this Wednesday, Janu-
ary 12; therefore, be it

Resolved by the Senate of Maryland, That we extend to Dele-
gate Lee our heartfelt sympathy in his affliction. We, who
were fortunate to know her in life, bear testimony to the es-
teem and love in which she was held by her husband and many
