INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Norris, by request: Senate Bill No. 525, entitled "An
Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 184 of
Article 27 of Bagby's Annotated Code of Maryland. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on Judi-
cial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Williams, by request: Senate Bill No. 526, entitled
"An Act to authorize the County Commissioners of Cecil
county to appropriate money for the construction and main-
tenance of the Maternity Department of the Union Hospital
of Cecil county. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Finance. ']
By the President: Senate Bill No. 527, entitled "An Act to
appropriate the sum of two thousand dollars ($2, 000) per
annum to the Board of Trustees of the Fifth Regiment
Armory, for the maintenance and protection of the Armory
for the fiscal years ending the thirtieth day of September, 1917,
and the thirtieth day of September, 1918. " [Which was read
the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
By the President: Senate Bill No. 528, entitled "An Act to
declare the sanction and consent of the General Assembly of
Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and devises contained in
the last wills and testaments of certain persons, late of the
State of Maryland, deceased, and also certain gifts, grants,
sales, leases and deeds made by various persons in this State
to and for the use and benefit of sundry ministerial persons,
religious corporations, denominations, or sects, and to cer-
tain charitable institutions. " [Which was read the first time
and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 529, entitled "An Act to
add an additional section to the Declaration of Rights of the
Constitution of the State of Maryland, to be known as Article
15-A, and to provide for the submission of such amendment to
