act as the collector of its taxes, and for the appointment of
a clerk for the County Commissioners, and prescribing their
respective duties. " [Which was read the first time and re-
ferred to Senators Warfield, Johnson and Kaufman. ]

By Mr. Williams: Senate Bill No. 517, entitled "An Act to
reimburse and pay to the Levi E. Patterson Company of
Cecil county, Maryland, the sum of two thousand and three
hundred and forty-one dollars for loss sustained by said com-
pany in the erection and construction of the Armory at Elk-
ton, Maryland, built by said company under a contract with
the State of Maryland. " [Which was read the first time and
referred to the Committee on Finance. ']

By Mr. Shepherd: Senate Bill No. 518, entitled "An Act to
authorize the County Commissioners of Dorchester county to
transfer and surrender unto the State Roads Commission,
without cost to said Commission, the Brookview Bridge over
the Northwest prong of the Nanticoke River, the approaches,
bridge-keeper's house and all other appurtenances acquired by
the County Commissioners of Dorchester county, and to
authorize the said State Roads Commission to accept from said
County Commissioners the said bridge, approaches, bridge-
keeper's house and appurtenances, and thereafter to maintain
the same as a part of the system of State roads. " [Which was
read the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Legg, by request: Senate Bill No. 519, entitled "An
Act to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 266 of
Article 93 of the Annotated Code of the Public Civil Laws of
Maryland of 1912, edited by George P. Bagby, of the Balti-
more Bar, entitled 'Testamentary Law, ' sub-title 'Register
of Wills. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

By Mr. Parsons: Seriate Bill No. 520, entitled "An Act to
provide for the building and construction of a bridge over the
thoroughfare between Rock Creek and Deal's Island, in Somer-
set county, Maryland, and to issue bonds for the payment of
the expenses of building and constructing the same, and
to levy taxes on the assessable property of said county to
redeem such bonds and to pay the interest thereon. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to Senators Parsons,
Shepherd and Harrison. ]
