repeal Sections 6 and 7 of Article 75 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, title 'Pleadings, Practice and

same, with amendments, so as to require demurrers in civil
cases at law to state the grounds for same, and provid-
ing what shall not be considered a sufficient statement of

By Mr. Ogden: Senate Bill No. 513, entitled "An Act to
declare the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland to the sale, grant and conveyance to the trustees
of the Anshe Niesen Hebrew Congregation of Baltimore city,
a body corporate, by the trustees of the Aitz Chaim Hebrew
Congregation of Baltimore city, a body corporate, of three
certain lots of ground in the City of Baltimore. " [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Judicial Proceedings. ]

By Mr. Frick: Seriate Bill No. 214, entitled An Act to
amend and simplify pleading and practice at law in action
ex contractu and actions ex delicto by adding to Article 75
of the Code of Public General Laws, title 'Pleadings, Practice
and Process at Law, ' the following sections, and be known
as Sections 1-A to 11, inclusive, and to follow after Sec-
tion 1. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

By Mr. Warfield: Senate Bill No. 515, entitled "An Act to
reduce the amount of insurance carried on State property and
to use the premium thereby saved to create a sinking fund,
for the purpose of liquidating any future loss by fire to the
State's property, so that ultimately, no insurance need be car-
ried thereon, and making an appropriation for said sinking
fund. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Warfield: Senate Bill No. 516, entitled "An Act to
repeal Sections 23 and 24 of Article 7 of the Code of Public
Local Laws, title 'Carroll County, ' sub-title 'County Treasurer
and Clerk to the County Commissioners, ' and to enact two
new sections in lieu thereof to be numbered Sections 23 and
24, and to add thereto twenty-six new sections to follow im-
mediately after Section 24, to be designated as Sections 24-a,
24-b? 24-c, 24-d, 24-e, 24-f, 24-g, 24-h, 24-i, 24-j, 24-k, 24-1, 24-m,
