with amendments,

SENATE BILL No. 376, BY MR. JOHNSON.

SUBJECT: LICENSES—CLERKS OF CIRCUIT COURTS.

Amendments proposed by Committee:

"Amend the title by striking out the whole of said title
as the same now appears on page 1 of the printed Bill, and
insert in lieu thereof a new title as follows:

'An Act to repeal Sections 1, 6, 40, 52, 53 and 54 of Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Licenses, " sub-
titles "Mode of Issuing—General Provisions" and "Traders, "
and to re-enact the same with amendments; and to add nine
additional sections to said Article 56, the same to follow im-
mediately after Section 52, sub-title "Traders, " and to be
known respectively as Sections 52-A, 52-B, 52-C, 52-D, 52-E,
52-F, 52-G, 52-H and 52-1, and to repeal Section 63 of Article
17 of said Code, title "Clerks of Courts, " sub-title "Clerks of
Circuit Courts. " "

"In Section 1, page 1 of the printed Bill, strike out the word
'Maryland7 on line 2, and everything thereafter down to and in-
cluding the word 'repealed' on line 8, and insert in lieu thereof
the following:

". 'That Sections 1, 6, 40, 52, 53 and 54 of Article 56 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, title "Licenses, " sub-titles
"Mode of Issuing—General Provisions, " and "Traders, " be and
the same hereby are respectively repealed and re-enacted with
amendments; and nine additional sections be and the same
hereby are added to said Article 56 of said Code, the same to
follow immediately after Section 52 thereof, and to be known
respectively as Sections 52-A, 52-B, 52-C, 52-D, '52-E, 52-F, 52-G,
52-H and 52-I, and that Section 63 of Article 17 of said Code,
title "Clerks of Courts, " sub-title "Clerks of Circuit Courts, "
be and the same hereby is repealed; said sections as re-enacted
and said additional sections to read as follows. ' "

"In Section. 40, line 13, page 2 of the printed Bill, insert at
the beginning of the sentence and before the word 'Amount, ' the following: 'The average. ' "

"In Section 40, lines 14 and 15 of the printed Bill, strike
out the words 'carried at the season of the year when the value
is the greatest. '"

"In Section 40, lines 18 and 19, page 3 of the printed Bill,
strike out the words 'amount of fire insurance carried on stock
at the season of the year when the value is the greatest. '"
