INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Unanimous consent was given Mr. Frick to introduce the
following Bill: Senate Bill No. 508, entitled "An Act to
provide for the regulation and control of horse racing within
the State of Maryland; to create a State Racing Commission
and prescribe its powers and duties; to limit and restrict
betting on horse races; to provide for license fees for the
conduct of horse racing within the State; to repeal Sections
204, 205 and 206 of Article 27 of the Code of Public General
Laws of Maryland of 1904, title 'Crimes and Punishments, '
sub-title 'Gaming, ' said Section 206 having been amended by
Chapter 127 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1906; also to repeal Section 275 of Article 2 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title 'Anne Arun-
del County, ' sub-title 'Gaming, ' as the same was enacted by
Chapter 290 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1898; and also to repeal Chapter 77 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1912, establishing a
Racing Commission for Baltimore county; and also to repeal
Chapter 132 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land of 1912, establishing a Racing Commission for Harford
county. " [Which was read the -first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]
