authorizing the State Roads Commission to construct a high-
way in Wicomico county, State of Maryland, from Long's
store in the town of Fruitland over and upon Main street in
said town and thence to the Salisbury Allen State road as
now laid out. " [Which was read the first time and referred to
the Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Parsons: Senate Bill No. 479, entitled "An Act to
repeal Sections 227 to 237, inclusive, of Article 20 of the Pub-
lic Local Laws, title 'Somerset County, ' sub-title 'Roads; ' all
amendments of said sections; Sections 1 and 2 of Article 25
of the Code of Public General Laws of 1904, title 'County Com-
missioners; ' Chapter 443 of the Acts of 1908; Chapter'274 of
the Acts of 1910; Chapter 100 of the Acts of 1912, and all
other laws? general and local, so far as but no farther than
said sections, amendments, chapters and laws may be in-
consistent with the provisions of this Act, and to re-enact
said sections 227 to 237, inclusive, with amendments to apply
to Somerset county; and to create the office of County Road
Superintendent for said county, and to prescribe the duties
and powers thereof, and to read as follows. " [Which was

By Mr. Frick: Senate Bill No. 480, entitled "An Act to
raise additional revenue for State and county purposes; to
prescribe the method of collecting, apportioning and account-
ing therefore. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to the Committee on Finance., ]
By Mr. Norris: Senate Bill No. 481, entitled "An Act to
provide twenty-five additional Justices of the Peace for Bal-
timore city. " [Which was read the first time and referred to
the City Senators. ]
By Mr., Jones: Senate Bill No. 482, entitled "An Act to
authorize and direct the Board of County School Commis-
sioners of Montgomery county to erect an addition to the high
school building in the town of Rockville and to equip or par-
tially equip the same suitable for the purpose; and to sell or
exchange upon the best terms obtainable as said School Board
may determine and as speedily as may be (not later than
July 1, 1916), the present old school buildings and the grounds
appurtenant thereto, owned by said county, and to add the
proceeds or apply the property derived from such sale or
exchange to the amount herein apportioned to the Kensing-
ton School; and if ground be not obtained by such exchange,
