Mr. Collier submitted the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
March 9, 1916.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
The Senate having refused to concur in amendments pro-
posed by the House to Senate Bill entitled "An Act to author-
ize and empower the Mayor and Council of Easton to purchase
the leasehold interest of the Easton Town Hall Company in
the building known as the Market House Building, or Music
Hall (the leasehold interest being a part of said Market House
Building) at and for the sum of four thousand eight hundred
and forty dollars, etc., " we respectfully propose, with the con-
currence of your Honorable Body, the appointment of a joint
committee of conference on the disagreeing votes of the two
Houses, and herewith return said Bill. We have named as
conferees on the part of the Senate, Messrs. Collier, Cooper
and Legg.

INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
By Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. ——, entitled "An Act to add
five new sections to Article 18 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, entitled 'Queen Anne's County, ' to be
known as Sections 286, 287, 288, 289 and 290, providing for the
issuance of a license to open, conduct, or operate any hotel,
casino or excursion pavilion, or any bathing beach, park, or
grounds of any description whatsoever, for the resort of per-
sons as an excursion ground, camp meeting, encampment or
place of amusement or diversion, anywhere within the limits
of Queen Anne's county, but without the limits of any in-
corporated town in said county, and providing penalties for
the violation of the provisions of this Act. " [Which was read
the first time and referred to Senators Legg, Collier and
Shepherd. ]
By Mr. Bennett: Senate Bill No. 477, entitled "An Act to
repeal Sections 67 and 71 of Article 91 of Bagby's Annotated
Code of Public Civil Laws, title 'Surveyor and State Survey, '
sub title 'Public Roads, ' and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]
