Baltimore, ' by the addition thereto of three new sections, re-
lating to the keepers of junk shops and second-hand dealers
and their employes in the City of Baltimore, and prescribing
a penalty for the violation of the provisions of said sections. "
[Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas and
nays"] [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]

Also House Bill No. 406, entitled "An Act providing for the
purchase of a site for a public school building in or adjacent
to the town of Preston, in Caroline county, Maryland, and for
the erecting and furnishing of such public school building
thereon, including heating apparatus therefor; and authorizing,
empowering and directing the County Commissioners of Caro-
line county, upon the written demand of the Building Commit-
tee provided for by this Act, to borrow money to the extent of
fifteen thousand dollars on the credit of the said county, to be
applied toward the cost of purchasing said site and the erect-
ing and furnishing of said school building, and to levy a tax
on the assessable property of the said county to repay the
money so borrowed and the interest thereon. " [Endorsed:
"Read the third time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which
was read the first time and referred to Senators Cooper, Col-
lier and Legg. ]

Also House Bill No. 19, entitled "An Act to appropriate
|29, 755. 67 to pay the claims of Julius Schwarten et al. for
live stock slaughtered by the State Live Stock Sanitary Board
under and pursuant to the Act of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1888, Chapter 519, as amended by the Act of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1906, Chapter 431, in
the eradication of foot and mouth disease. " [Endorsed:
"Read the third time and passed by yeas and nays. "] [Which
was read the first time and referred to the Committee on
Finance. ]

Also House Bill No. 155, entitled "An Act to authorize the
Clerk of the Circuit Court for Baltimore county to transcribe
certain land indexes and mortgage indexes, and to provide for
the payment thereof. " [Endorsed: "Read the third time and
passed by, ' yeas and nays"] [Which was read the first time
and referred to Senators Allen, Ogden and Warfield. ]

Also House Bill No. 322, entitled "An Act to repeal Section
15 of Chapter 77 of the Acts of 1870, title 'An Act to incor-
porate the town of Frostburg, in Allegany county, ' and to re-
enact the same with amendments. " [Endorsed: "Read the
third time and passed by yeas and nays"] [Which was read
