add an additional section to Article 75 of the Code of Public
General Laws, title 'Pleading Practice and Process at Law, '
sub-title 'Process, ' to follow Section 147, and to be numbered
147-A, to read as follows. " [Which was read the first time
and referred to the Committee on Judicial Proceedings. ]
By Mr. Bennett: Senate Bill No. 440, entitled "An Act to
authorize the County Commissioners of Wicomico county,
State of Maryland, to issue bonds for the purpose of making
additions and improvements to the public school buildings and
equipments thereof in Wicomico county; and for the payment
of the cost of the two lift bridges on the South Prong of the
Wicomico River, in Salisbury, at South Division and Camden
street; and to the building of suitable bridges; over the North
Prong of the Wicomico River, in Salisbury, Maryland, and at
Wetipquin Creek in Tyaskin District, in Wicomico county,
aforesaid; and for the building of State-aided roads in said
county; and providing that said question be submitted to the
voters of said county at a special election for their ratification
or rejection of the power hereby granted to said Commis-
sioners. " [Which was read the first time and referred to
Senators Bennett, Parsons and Shepherd. ]
By Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. 441, entitled "An Act to
authorize and empower the Town Commissioners of Queens-
town, a municipal corporation, in Queen Anne's county. State
of Maryland, to grade and improve the Main street of said
corporation, running from the said corporate limits where it
joins the road leading to Centreville through said town, to
where the street meets with and joins the road leading to
Kent Island, to borrow upon the faith and credit of said cor-
poration, a sum of money not to exceed $1, 000, and to issue and
sell coupon bonds to provide funds for the grading and im-
proving of said street; to levy taxes on the assessed property
within the limits of said corporation to redeem said bonds,
and to pay the interest thereon, and to collect said taxes; to
enter into an agreement with the State Roads Commission
for the improvement of said Main street, in the event the said
State Roads Commission shall determine to build a State-aid
road through the town of Queenstown over said street, and
