corporate the Alliance of Charitable and Social Agencies of
Baltimore city. " [Which was read the first time and referred

By Mr. Legg: Senate Bill No. 443, entitled "An Act to
repeal Section 218-B of Article 18 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title 'Queen Anne's County, ' sub-title
'Queenstown, ' as enacted by Chapter 542 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session
in the year 1892, and to re-enact the same, with amendments. "

Cooper and Collier. ]

By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 444, entitled "An Act to
establish in Montgomery county a hospital for the treatment
of indigent persons suffering from tuberculosis, appropriating
a sum of money for the erection and maintenance of said
hospital and authorizing the County Commissioners of Mont-
gomery county to levy for the same. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

By Mr. Jones: Senate Bill No. 445, entitled "An Act to
amend Section 140-D of Chapter 156 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland of 1910, entitled 'An Act for pre-
venting the manufacture or sale of adulterated, misbranded,
poisonous or deleterious foods, drugs, medicines, waters, can-
dies and liquors, and for regulating traffic therein within the
State of Maryland, and to provide for the punishment of viola-
tions of its provisions, and to appropriate an annual sum of
money* f or the purpose of enforcing this Act, ' by adding cer-
tain additional sections to Article 43, title 'Health, ' sub-title
'Adulteration of Food and Drink, ' of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws of Maryland of 1904, to be known as 140-A, 140-B,
140-C, 140-D, 140-E, 140-F, 140-G, 140-H, 140-1, 140-J, 140-K,
140-L, 140-M, 140-N and 140-O, and to repeal Sections 122,
123, 124 and 125 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland of 1904, title 'Crimes and Punishments, ' sub-title
'Health—Deleterious Candy or Cakes, ' by repealing the third
sub-division thereof and re-enacting the same, with amend-
ments. " [Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Finance. ]
