add an additional section to Article 23 of the Code of Public
General Laws of Maryland, to be known as Section 88-G,
relating to capital stock and franchise taxes upon and re-
specting building associations, and to repeal all other laws
and sections and all other parts of laws and sections, so far
as the same or any of the same may conflict, or be incon-
sistent with the provisions of this Act. " [Which was read
the first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Johnson: Senate Bill No. 376, entitled "An Act
to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1, 6, 40,
41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 52 and 53 of Article
56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland, title 'Licenses, ' and
to repeal Section 54 of said Article 56 of said Code; and to
also repeal Section 63 of Article 17 of said Code, title 'Clerks
of Courts, ' sub-title 'Clerks of Circuit Courts'; said section
relating to granting of licenses. " [Which was read the first
time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]

repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 245 of Article
16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title
'Montgomery County, ' sub-title 'Garrett Park, ' as the same
was enacted by Chapter 790 of the Acts of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, 1912. " [Which was read the first time
and referred to Senators Jones, Holmead and Johnson. ]
By Mr. Norris, by request: Senate Bill No. 378, entitled
"An Act to repeal Section 17 of Article 53 of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title 'Landlord and Ten-
ant, ' as repealed and re-enacted by the Act of 1908, Chapter
93, exempting certain articles from distress for rent, and to
re-enact the same, with amendments. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Judicial Pro-
ceedings. ]

"An Act to repeal Section 17 of Article 53 of Bagby's Anno-
tated Code of Public Civil Laws of Maryland of 1912, title
'Landlord and Tenant, ' exempting certain articles from dis-
tress for rent, and to re-enact the same, with amendments. "
