By Mr. Williams: Senate Bill No. 351, entitled "An Act to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, thereto Section 33-A of
Chapter 641 of the Acts of 1914, title 'Surveyor and State
Survey, ' sub-title 'Public Roads, ' the object of this Bill being to
eliminate two members of the State Roads Commission so that
after the passage of this Act the said State Roads Commission
shall consist of only three members. " [Which was read the
first time and referred to the Committee on Finance. ]
By Mr. Holmead: Senate Bill No. 352, entitled "An Act to
repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections 279, 280, 281,
282, 285 and 286 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title 'Prince George's County, ' as the same were enacted
by Chapter 801 of the Acts of Assembly of 1914, defining the
duties of the County Commissioners of said county in rela-
tion to roads and bridges, and providing for six road directors
in said county. " [Which was read the first time and referred
to Senators Holmead, Johnson and Jones. ]
By Mr. Holmead: Senate Bill No. 353, entitled "An Act to
repeal Sections 1 to 16, both inclusive, of Article 17 of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title 'Prince George's County, ' sub-title
'Almshouse, ' and to re-enact, with amendments, Sections 1
to 7 of said Article 17, making the County Commissioners of
Prince George's county Trustees of the Poor in Prince George's
county, defining the powers, duties and responsibilities of
such trustees, vesting in them certain properties of the county
and providing for the levy of a fund to be used by said Trus-
tees of the Poor in Prince George's county for the support of
the indigent sick and poor of said county. " [Which was read
the first time and referred to Senators Holmead, Johnson and
Jones. ]
By Mr. Holmead: Senate Bill No. 354, entitled. "An Act
to prohibit the Board of County School Commissioners of
Prince George's county from borrowing any money on the
faith and credit of said county, or issuing any script or cer-
tificates of indebtedness of any kind binding said county. "
